Our Future City

Is it smart to shop online? Can fashion ever be sustainable? What does climate-wise tourism look like? And what significance does trade have for vulnerable areas?

A warm welcome to the research festival Our Future City Lund, where researchers from Lund University discuss the sustainable cities and communities of the future, based on Agenda 2030.

The talks are popular science, are aimed at the general public and are part of the large city fair H22. The main moderator is Heidi Avellan, political editor-in-chief of Helsingborgs Dagblad.

  • Where? Campus Helsingborg's courtyard

  • When? June 7-10

  • More? The calls are free and open to everyone. You do not need to pre-register.

Our Future City is arranged together with Helsingborgs Dagblad and the Research and Development Unit at the City of Helsingborg (R&D).

Join Cisco on a hackathon focusing on smart cities and sustainability!

June 2 - 13: 00-17: 00

June 3 - 9: 00-15: 00

"Cisco is a world leader in IT and networking and helps companies and organizations of all sizes change the way people connect, communicate and collaborate. The goal of our Hackathon is to explore how Cisco's core part of the network can be used to create new innovative and sustainable solutions in a city like Helsingborg, by, among other things, using the programmability of our solutions and the possibility of automation and edge computing.

We meet on June 2 at Hetch in Helsingborg where you get the opportunity to get to know us at Cisco and our development platform  Cisco DevNet . You get to test programming against Cisco's different platforms and we end with you getting to start sketching out your ideas for how we can create a smarter and more sustainable city.

During day two, we continue the work in teams, deepen our knowledge and end with presentations of your concepts and an award ceremony.

Put together your own team of up to 4 people and sign up together, or be paired with other individual participants on site. Registration closes on May 20.

We are primarily aimed at people interested in networking and programming as well as students, but anyone who is interested in innovation and sustainability is welcome to apply. "
